Why do you want to work here, and why now?

Example

What this round scores

  1. Motivation

Why this role and this company: real interest, backed by what you know about them.

    You may hear

    • Why do you want to work here, and why now?
    • What do you know about us, and what drew you to this role?
  2. Experience fit

How well your past work matches what this role needs, shown with examples.

    You may hear

    • Walk me through your CV and the experience most relevant to this role.
    • Tell me about a project you’re proud of. What exactly was your part?
  3. Communication

Clear, structured answers (situation, task, action, result) that end in a concrete result.

    You may hear

    • Tell me about yourself.
    • Describe a time you had to explain something complex to someone outside your field.
  4. Culture fit

How you work with others: teamwork, humility, values and handling conflict.

    You may hear

    • Tell me about a disagreement with a colleague. How did you resolve it?
    • What kind of team and manager bring out your best work?

How Cavenue scores your answers

Every answer is scored from 0 to 100 on six skills. Your overall score is their weighted average.

  • Role knowledge25%
  • Problem solving20%
  • Communication15%
  • Leadership & ownership15%
  • Collaboration15%
  • Proactivity10%

This round also gets a score of its own: the average of the four criteria above.

  • Only your own words count. What the interviewer says never earns you points.

  • Concrete examples with a result raise your score. A vague one-sentence answer stays at 30 or below.

  • The scale is strict, like a real hiring panel: most candidates land between 40 and 80.

  • Your report also gives a hiring recommendation, your strengths, what to fix and a short action plan.
